Stephen is the Downstream & Chemicals Capital Investment Lead for Chevron, a position he has held since 2020. He is responsible for developing and managing the capital investment portfolio for Chevron’s worldwide refining, marketing, lubricants and chemicals businesses. With over 24 years of experience at Chevron, he has served in a number of engineering, strategy and project management positions with increasing responsibilities within the company. Prior to his current role, he was based at Chevron’s Tengizchevroil joint venture in Kazakhstan for 6 years as a project management advisor. Prior to that he served as a decision analyst evaluating major capital investment opportunities in Chevron’s Upstream Europe business unit based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Other positions include decision analysis, strategic planning and engineering roles in Houston, El Paso and Pascagoula.
Stephen joined Chevron in 1997 as an engineer at Chevron’s Pascagoula Refinery in Mississippi. A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Stephen graduated from Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
